Right click counts?

Hello friends. I just have a small doubt. If we right click on the adsense text ad and open the ad in a different tab or window, does it count as a valid click? Yesterday, i clicked on 2 ads( right click ) and when i checked my earnings, it showed $0.10. So i am not sure whether it was generated from my click or not....So can anyone confirm to me, whether right click on the text ad counts as a valid click?
    Thanks:confused:

Right click or left click, its the same click, as it triggers the internal mechanism of tracking the clicks, it may not be obviously stated and you may not even seen the acutual URL, but the code has gotten triggered internally, and thats all it matters, nothing else.

If you own a link list or directory where the listings are ranked (on some page) on the number of outgoing hits, you’re possible victim of click fraud. There are not only people clicking their own listings many times, ther eare also click bots (remote scripts) which drive the click count “into the sky” in a relative short time.

Click fraud is bad for your sites reputation and is not fair to the listings from other websites. In this PHP code show case we will explain what a webmaster need to do to get his click counter visitor friendly and safe.

Better mail google fast and tell them that you accidentally clicked on your own ads. You will get banned.

It counts as long as you change nothing in the URL.

I did the same thing yrs ago, as I thought it would be OK and I was not trying to cheat. I really wanted to see the ad posted there - any ways when I was told it was wrong to do, I emailed Google right away and told them everything and they were really cool about it and Thanked me for telling them :)

Don't worry about it. If the clicks came from you google will catch it and not pay for it. If you read Googles TOS and there "contact us" sections they say that they know accidental clicks happen and not to email them over one or two clicks. If you start to get a lot you will get banned though.

As far as right clicking, yes it still follows the same URL.

if you right click and open in new window, it absolutely counts it as a click! google gives you some lee-way with this (the URL to the GA blog post about this has been posted here manyyyy times), but don't do it anymore!

Yes, if you copy paste that URL and open it it will count as a click. Simply right clicking the link, no.
