Ridiculously low CPC, opt out of CPM and add image ads?

    Ok we all know these Myspace resource sites get low CPC but do you think it would be a good idea to opt out of CPM ads?

    Also would adding image ads into the mix possibly increase my earnings after I have opted out of CPM ads?

    I have read some posts here suggesting people have seen an increase in earnings after having opted out of CPM or decrease in earnings after they noticed a bunch of CPM ads appearing. Some have also suggested leaving them and trusting Google to "maximize your revenue".

    I think 0.02-.0.04 a click is a bit ridiculous especially as someone else here stated the keyword "myspace" is going for about a buck on adwords. Also I don't feel like I have been hit with "smart pricing" as some of my other sites can get .20-.50 or more even per click.

    Most of you know but for those who don't you can opt ouf CPM ads. Just e-mailed Google with my complaints and they said to respond if I would like to have CPM ads removed.

    Any insights on this would be appreciated :)

    OK I guess I will have to experiment, in the process of opting out of CPM ads will post results :)

    I didn't even know you can opt out of CPM ads, but obviously this has to be done manually via emailing Google..

    I think CPM ads will not do any bad to your site because Google should display them only if what you earn is better than displaying PPC ads and not having them clicked, based on your recorded history.
