On one of my sites, adsense shows page impressions of XXX. clicks are zero. CTR is zero, CPM is .XY and earnings are .XX.

How can I get earnings with no clicks?

I don't think so, I thought that adsense was soley PPC.

    Maybe I am wrong?

There are a few ads which advertisers choose to pay per 1000 impressions.. you got lucky...

I think they are both PPC and CPM for image ads.

You're right...and if one were to look in his adsense control panel (the Advanced Reports section) he could filter by each type.

Below the Choose date range area is a drop-down box that is labeled Show data by From that, if you select Individual Ad, you then get a check box where you can have the report broken into contextual or placement targeting.

Contextual are the "regular" ads. The ones that show as Placement are the ones that earn by the number of impressions (whether or not they are clicked)

Adpubster - I followed your instructions and indeed there is placement in there and it shows what you are saying.

I appreciate the education, I just learned something.
