What do you guys think? http://richpeoplethings.com Please comment on design, ad placement, content and anything else you can come up with.
I love the site and the content. I have to say the domain name does nothing for me. A catchy domain name could make this a winner.
Hello, Just a few thoughts on the site. First off, I love the font you're using on the headlines. It looks classy and sophisitcated - just what a site like yours needs. The colors that you've chosen give me the same impression. A few suggestions: - It looks like you're using Wordpress's default commenting service. You would be better offing installing either DISQUS or Facebook Comment plugins. These allow people to sign in using their social networking profiles, rather than their email addresses. Its much easier, and makes them more likely to comment. - I have a slight issue with the name you've chosen for your site. What is your market? Who are you trying to attract as readers? When I read "Rich People Things", the informality of the title makes me think its a blog making fun of rich people by informing the rest of the world about the exorbitant cost of their unnecessary luxury. However, if you're trying to attract rich people who want to read about luxury items they might buy (or aspiring rich people who want to window-shop), you'd be better off using a less irreverent title and use one with some snob appeal. Something in French, for example. "Les Essentials" (The Essentials). It just seems to me that the title and the content are aimed at two different markets.
We just moved at website and first watch 301 Redirection and canonical issue are visible in website and it is running with www and also non www. This is search engine issue and your website is considered as spam that is not good for higher visibility in search engine. Rest of all is really wonderful and managed website locking well.
This looks very nice. Concept is great. Ad placement is subtle, good use of images, A plus would be if you could receive some product placement of sorts. Maybe Amazon ads? or Direct Ads from the brands you are writing about from time to time?
