LOS ANGELES Dec 11, 2005 — Richard Pryor, the groundbreaking comedian whose profanely personal insights into race relations and modern life made him one of Hollywood's biggest stars, died of a heart attack Saturday. He was 65. http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory?id=1394458 Heaven is now a funnier place.
Blazing Sadles is still a great movie - IMO. Actually, I enjoyed quite a few of his movies. I remember being a little kid and loving the movie The Toy.
I really liked a lot of his movies. What's crazy is how he talked about when he set himself on fire on "Richard Pryor Live On Sunset Strip" and he was raised in a brothel.
I think that was what they said when it happened. Years later he said he did it because he wanted to commit suicide. I think his wife said the same thing last year.
It is very sad that a great man that did some good acting, and in my eyes teaching, passed away. My prayers are with his family.
Yeah it sucks that he died. It sucks that we all have to leave out of here sometime. You work hard all your life, get all that money, and then you die and leave it all behind for your family to fight over. Whats the point?
You think it's sadder that more people from a webmaster forum didn't contribute to a thread about his death?
