I read the ebook " THe rich Jerk"

and I found out he was a real jerk. I can safely say I wasted my 10 $ on that book. It is absolutely useless. It basically promotes some hoster( I think something like bluehost.) its one of those turnkey scam ideas

Anyway... There are better book which are also free on the same topic ( John Chow's )

So Stay away from this " Arrogant Jerk "

Indeed. The guy behind it is a member here; I remember him posting when his site got mentioned the first time. Another funny site from a member here is http://internetmarketingsucks.com

 

I'm not 100% on this, but I'd say to relinquish the domain. Get a new one that's similar but don't directly use richjerk, depending on your resources you may not want to get confrontational on it ..especially since in a court setting they'd probably win because you're site is clearly acknowledging that you based the domain off of their name (*sucks)

 

I had something like this against me. I was sued and won without a lawyer.

He has no case. There are other sites similar such as paypalsucks.com and others. Your not in violation of trademark. Do nothing right now.

 

Yeah, I've seen BestBuySucks.com too and they seem to be ok.

 

I was going through your website and really appreciate you, taking your time educating people about scam. A holy job indeed.

Just stay calm - he cant sue you in any ground - of course you have every rights to let people know about your views on a piece of junk.

With the email you have received you have already won halfway! A company or person who really has a business standard and policies wont really bother about such domians at all - thats why paypal do not whine about paypalsucks.com - let him whine while you wine n dine.

PS: I wonder if those pictures used on the website (menu) http://www.therichjerk.com/ are legitimate. LOL. Just a thought.

 

This is so true, and to be honest it works! I have seen so many websites go down because they got threatened! If i got threatened i would find every loop hole in the law so that they cant do nothing. Yes i love manipulating stuff, and im good at it

if the rich jerk who sent this to you was actually rich, you would have received a formal warning from his lawyers, even that is nothing to worry about. Just ignore him. Don't waste your money on a lawyer, let him waste his

 

I might have found over 20 pics of this dude. He doesnt seem rich to me but maybe he just doesnt show off to everyone. I might have even found a pic of him riding a tricycle.

The worst thing you can do is to sell the website to him. It's called cybersquatting and has a high penalty
