Ok, ive basically conected the cabels.. I turn on windows, it starts.. displays the windows loading bar on the screen/tv... then tv just goes to no signal. (vista../radeonx1700 gfx card) worked fine on my friends tv and we have the exact same tvs....
I've got my card (Nvidia) setup so I can just hit F1 at anytime and the signal goes to my TV - BUT on boot my card seems to output on both, which is what you might be seeing. Once Windows is loaded it's probably switching to your selected display - e.g your monitor. You might need to select which display you want to use after Windows loads.
I did, i went to the second screen. Clicked extend mintor and press apply... still sticks with the no signal on the tv.
What exactly are you trying to do? Do you want to use the TV AND your monitor with multiple desktops, or totally switch to TV (for watching movies etc)?
totally switch to TV. but when we hooked it up to my friends tv it had both tv and mointor... working simultaneously.. I wouldn't mind either one. But neither work.
