Rewriting free outdated plugins and requested wordpress plugins.

We are a team of professional wordpress plugin coders. We have started working on plugins that are in demand but sometime most of them don't work at all. We will take over that projects and release them back with GNU/GPL license. We can also work on new plugins requested. All we are looking out for is exposure. Please make your requests here.

 

A nicely done event calendar would be nice. All of the current ones SUCK.

Once you are done, you can add them to 1 Cool file. I have a section for plugins and themes.

A feature that I would like in plugins is an auto update plugins like All In One SEO has. That would be Cool

A nice plugin would be one where you can sell links(nofollow or not) but I don't have to pay fees to a third party. You could even add support for AlertPay (More countries) with Paypal being the default.

A nicely integrated, fully-featured banner management and rotation plug-in would probably make a lot of people happy

 

Are you doing this with the permission of the original coders of those plug-ins? Are you making an effort to contact them to see whether those individuals may be working on updates to the plug-ins themselves?

 

It looks like he is planning to fork GPL released code which as far as I am aware does not require the permission of the original author, by defintion.

 

I'm not suggesting it's illegal - just discourteous not to make the effort. To my mind, it's like taking someone else's vBulletin add-on and modifying it without making the effort to contact the original author to get his/her blessing.

I believe you would do quite well with a good Quiz plugin for educators that kept track of students scores for a class with more than one test/quiz in it. I can send you some existing scripts to build on. Why do I think it would be a success? Have you noticed how many teachers/educators use WordPress, and how there is not one full-featured course quiz plugin (polls an simple quizzes yes, full featured with tracking by student -- no)?
