Rewrite help

    Hi.

    I have this link:
    http://www.mysite.com/component/option,com_wrapper/Itemid,8/

    It's a static url, it doesn't change. However, there are others that begin with http://www.mysite.com/component/option,com_...... and they are supposed to stay that way.

    I would like this single url look look nicer, maybe like: http://www.mysite.com/contact/ - or maybe http://www.mysite.com/contact.php

    Can someone help me with the RegEx syntax please?

    It's a mambo or joomla site right? Don't go messing with mod_rewrite if you don't know what you are doing.

    My recommendation: install sef404, I have it at my hobby and bmx sites.

    There is a licensed SEF script but I'm not sure where you get it from. Search the forums here and at the mambo and joomla sites and I'm sure you'll find it.

    Yes, it's a Mambo site. I went with Xaneon Extensions instead. It does the job.
