    You should get a professional logo for the site and add more
    colors into the color scheme of the site.

    The sites a little bare i suggest maybe getting a more colorful template, also you might want to add a favicon because all top news sites have favicons. As for the basci content of your site i think its great :D So just get a nice & colourful template and your site will be great :)
