I was wondering how rewards sites are able to track their rewards. OK, so obviously they use a sub affiliate ID to see which of theur members completed which offer. I get that much. But how do they then reconcile that and award the points? Is it done manually or can you program that? Can the affiliate network pass back to the affiliate's system that a successful transaction has been colmpleted? The reason I ask is that a lot of them have a delay on the reward of points - presumably so they can verify that the offer has been completed properly and they haven't fallen victim to fraud.
They import CSV reports into their software it is all automated but it takes time for advertisers/affiliate networks to confirm send leads.
Are you able to make a program that can log into the affiliate account and download the csv file? I sthat what you mean?
The confirmation that a 'sign up' is complete has to be from the advertiser itself. I think that is what causes the delay.
Some networks offer live feeds with reports. So it can be done automatically. But I think most webmasters are doing it manually...
