for my taste the site is too pale,
also, for first time visitors the site is a bit hard to digest.

 

Could you elaborate a bit more - maybe your monitor has poor contrast?

 

The layout and design is not bad but I think the site would look better if you added
a few more colors into the color scheme.

 

Any specific color ideas?

 

With all do respect, it's a pain to navigate.

I didn't really understand what your site was about when I first saw it. I'd like to see a short paragraph/introduction to tell people what your site is all about.
