Hi guys, Since I can't post in domain names forums I decided to ask your opinion in one of my websites. Problem: the site is not selling... In my opinion is not bad at all. Some reviews can be helpful for me and for others. So, go to backupnext.com and tell me what you think. Many thanks in advance for every pertinent opinion.
Maybe not. I tried to post it in the directories. I'm everywhere, download.com, softpedia.com... Google start index it but I don't do PPC yet. Thanks for your opinions.
Can anyone to review the software? It will be really appreciate! Be careful, write nice reviews...I have to put them on the website...like I promissed! http://www.backupnext.com/reviews.php
Any other opinions? Why this website is not selling? I understood can be less traffic. Something else?
How bout rewriting your htaccess to reqrite your urls instead of them currently ending in .php?Might be useful in SEO and setup a sitemap generator too. Also, get your friends or those who've tried the program to write up some nice and hones reviews on the software
Perhaps one reason could be that when downloading/running the software, I am getting a "Publisher could not be verified" "Unknown Publisher" error dialogue, maybe this puts some people off? Secondly, there does not seem to be any pricing information on the homepage, again, this could put some people off. I don't see any reason that you should be short of visitors though, you have plenty of good, seo friendly, content.
Your trust score would be: 0 Your contact and help links are just a link to send you an email. You need to have contact, and company information. Put a 800 number or at least a phone number near the header so people know it's a real company, selling a real product. A phone number at least could help convert. I know a lot of people who pick up the phone to ask a few questions before making a purchase.
Thanks for reply. I disagree the price on the first page but can be a problem. Also, for "Unknown publisher" I'm not sure somebody really care, 80% of the software on the market are not signed. Maybe large companies like Microsoft, Adobe...
Interesting idea but I think this will help so little....I have performed some SEO instead. Maybe it's not enough traffic there.
Thanks a lot guys, for your time and replies. If somebody want to review the software I will pay $1-2/review for the first ten reviews. Bad or good. At least 250 characters please...
I appreciate that many will not be concerned about software being "unsigned", but I personally, would not pay for something that wasn't; again, just my own personal feeling, but there is no way I would spend I don't know how long digging around a site trying to find out how much the product will cost me, I can't find out within 30 seconds I'm off to the next place. I am not in any way trying to be offensive, just giving my own personal thoughts..
The price is 2 clicks away... index -> buy now -> Next step I appreciate you want to see how much if you are interested in buying the product, no?
I'm not here for a debate - I have stated my personal thoughts and as I have said, I would personally be searching for prices (for me, if the price is not displayed, why not?) - I have seen quite literally thousands and thousands of sites selling something or other (I spent the past 2 years as an internet assessor for google on their quality rating programme) and if I am unable to see the required information within seconds of arriving, I won't be staying... This thread is asking for site reviews - I have taken the time to give one and do not believe that I should be made to defend it. If you ask for reviews, don't be surprised if you don't always like what people have to say.
Thanks for help. I will try to have more opinions. For the reviews I said: ...for the first ten reviews. Bad or good.
Have you tried split testing with another copy or sales letter? sometimes a great sites gets killed because of bad copy, although a good copywriter is quite expensive but can increase your conversions by 100% or even much more. Just an advice.
