    My site Bako.com

I redesigned the sign up to make it really easy and I feel like I am getting less sign ups now.

I am trying to build a hyperlocal social network and it was doing pretty good with a 1000 visits a day but now it's only around 100, I don't know I guess my idea is what needs reviewing? I was creating a site where people can talk to people and post classifieds and blogs and events. Its all organized by cities. What do you guys think ?

You have 3 menus there that I find confusing:

    1. Friends | News | Classified | Blog | Events
    2. Menu | Sign In | Join Bako | Cities
    3. Home | Online | News | Classifieds | Blog | Events | Forgot Password

You need to reduce that to one menu with just a few options and then put the rest of it in the footer. For instance:

Home | Log In / Sign Up | Post an Ad | Events | Contact Us

That's it. The rest should be in the footer.

Now your footer should be changed too. I am not sure having buttons in the footer is a good idea. Just make nice links to all other goodies on your site (Blog, Friends, News, etc.).

You're a bit too heavy on the gray color. I'd make it no darker than #DDD
