I used it 2 times: First with 10 small blogs and the second time with a bigger site. In both cases, it did not work very good for me and the campaign. I did post about it on my blog. If I were to do it again, I would go with John Chow but it's much pricier and could be risky depending on the offer. See the current thread here.
You really should only ask for a review unless you have a specific goal in mind for the review, You should never use reviewme in place of regular ad networks as the reviewer doesnt have to say good things about your site just cause you gave him the money.
Considering that the price is split 50/50 between Review Me and the reviewer, that drives up your cost and the ROI will drop significantly because of that. Most of the reviews on that network seem overpriced to me. I'd start small and see what happens, but I doubt that it will do that great for you.
yeah I agree seems to be too pricey. Only reason I was considering that because I was hoping to get a good number of backlinks.

I taught you had a blog but it could work anyway. If you have many blogger as members, you could give cash like $25 or more if they blog about your site. This way, you get a backlink. Some will give actual prize but I think cash is simpler via PayPal because you don't have to mess with shipping/customs... The readers of the blog will come see your site. To make it simple, just predefined the text for them. The backlink will be short term because it will be in the back page. It does help with Technorati if it's a blog. For example, I do contest at this moment on my blog(help's with Technorati) and I promote my download site and the blog at the same time. If you do a "cut and paste" contest , I will announce it on thecontestwinner.com(that's my other side blog for that)
It depends, for example I read somewhere that you can buy a post on Shoemoney`s blog for $2500 , that could be worth while for the right niche with a little luck and a positive review from Shoe , like if someone would launch some kind of affiliate related stuff . Buzz + Sign Ups= Success
I agree with you. If a site is selling something, getting a review with that kind of price probably would pay off. But in my case with my charity, 100% Free, site I probably shouldn't do it
I think rather than getting people to review about your site or blog using Review Me, it is always a better option to get webmasters and bloggers to review about you. You can find lots of them here at DP. Its much quicker and easier, and also less expensive IMO.
Everything depends on your blog, its PR, how popular it is etc. You can see the rates on some of the threads looking for Paid Blog Posts to get an idea. But most of these blog posts aren't actually reviews, and in many of these, the blog post is also provided by the buyer, which reduces the price of the blog post further.
I tried it once. Bought 3 reviews for a new site. It took about a month but I finally got the 3 reviews done. They were all from bottom of the barrel bloggers. I only paid the minimum $10/review, so no big loss. It got me a few inbound links, so I'm sure it is worth the $10.
