I am new to this HTML thing so bear with me.

I am doing some text in html that i will eventually upload to my site. Isnt there a way i can see what the text looks like before i upload the text to my site so I will know if any corrections need to be made?

sure, just right click on the htm file and select open with... and then your browser

this can be done with any html files, but it may not work with php

tried this and all it did was show me the same thing that i had in notepad. what i want is to be able to see if the colors, fonts and other creatives that i added will be properly displayed on the webpage.

What is the extension of the file you saved?

Is it .htm or .html? if it is still .txt or something else then this might be your problem

try using a free html editor from somewhere :)

Rodder 7, that is exactly what i needed! Other people were telling me to name the file .html instead of saving the file as .html
