Review: You don't have to be nice

Been considering changing the layout of my website. Atleast the colours and mainpage.

    freebunch.com

Please tell me your initial opinion (are the number of choices on the main page too overwhealming?).

If you'd navigate and try one of my games. To let me know if the navigation through the pages are fluently. I have a bit of doubt about the link to open the game itself... whether it takes abit to notice, or if it's no problem at all.

Any feedback at all will be helpful.

    Thanks!

Too much stuff every were. I just can't find anything.

Your logo needs rework looks fuzzy, not clean enough. I'm not sure about the site color. It's just too yellow for me.

As fatboogy says, the logo needs a revamp.

As well, yes, the yellow is indeed overwhelming. Just too "in your face". Should be toned down.

The home page does not have a clear direction on where the visitor should click. Way too much info. Confusing to say the least.

I'd make the content text the same size as the links on the left. Currently, the body text is too large.

I would make the text in the "Our Partners" box the same font size as all the other boxes.

The logo needs to be a little larger and looks out of place. Your site is pushed to the left in a 1024x640 or whatever the size of my revolution is.

Your site is very bright yellow and did make me twich my eyes a little bit. A tone down in color is in order.

To much text everywhere, try neatening it up a little.

Other than that, it is not the worst site that I have seen.

I've found that if you're trying to do a "shadow effect" with header text image, a darker background color tends to work out well, I've never been able to get a good shadow effect using Real Draw & attempting this with a white background.

The color is a bit much, maybe go for a nice #ff9933 or something a little darker.

As for the main content, I would have a little space between that & your navigation menu: like a little more padding to the left.

Finding the link to the games was not obvious, maybe you should make it easier to see. . . it was hidden below an ad.

    Thanks guys!
Been aware of the yellow colours being too bright for awhile, but haven't had time to fix it (exam periods ends soon - then i'll work on it).
I'll be fixing the main page and maybe the logos too the next few days. Great feedback, keep it coming :)

the design dont look right because the middle is plain, in your next design do the sides but match the middle.

Too yellow, and the graphics looks very ragged. The fonts could be more consistent. Use black for the main text.

Yeah, with the increasing traffic i decided to put some work into renewing the site layout. Obviously it simply isn't good enough as it is. I don't want to scare people off by blinding them with bright yellow colours.

    At first glance:

    - I dont like the yellow color at all. It's too bright.
    - Why not make the layout centered and have a background?
    - Get a style for your links too. Maybe add some hover effect or something
    - Make a graphic header. It's just your name right now
    - The light brown color text is hard to read too
    - Make your logo on top clickable and link it to your homepage.

    Cheers,
    Nima
