although i saw this concept few times in the past few days but you have a good design in your site and the others i saw weren't showing thumbs for the sites while you do maybe that is why some are saying it takes time to load ? Good luck with your site - i like it alot
may I know other site that similar to this? One I know is www.dollarlinking.com For an info, this site is inspired by www.50pageswebsite.com, www.linkexperiment.com and web directory. I'm thinking about this idea few months back but do not have a time to implement it.
If I was you in terms of design I saw lower text size on headings with blue bckgrounds, lower opacity of scanlines in header and change the logo text. Try changing the gradient so it isn't so severe or play with the border colour until it fits together.
