I just finished a new theme for my website and I'm looking for reviews regarding the design and usability. I find it easy to browse but I want to make sure that it's that way for all users. Do you experience any errors viewing the page with your browser/resolution (other than 800x600)? link to site Thank you in advance
I'm using 1280 x 800 display setting view on my FF and everything seems to be well aligned. Nice blend of colors as well.
I am a very impatient person when it comes to browsing sites, i leave very quckly if i have to try to work out where to go for what. Yours is very clearly laid out and a breeze to navigate. I see its still "work in progress" thats probably why its still a little plain, not that thats such a bad thing, but if you are to improve the design dont loose what you have so far. Great work, good luck.
Thanks for the reviews everyone. I really appreciate it. I'm glad it's easy to navigate since it's the main thing I want to focus on. The overall look of the site is done so it will remain simple but hopefully less plain once I get some other things in place. Could you please explain what's wrong with the current ad placement? I know having it positioned at the bottom may be bad for click through rate but making money is not something I want to focus on with that site. Is the current ad placement annoying for visitors?
The ad place is not annoying but you need to move it to the top to get clicks. The navigation is good and easy. The layout looks a little "boxy" if you know what I mean, I think you need to make the content area more attractive.
A well structured site and great content. You need a ligher border color for box.. very light gray is good..
Thanks for the reviews everyone, I've decided to make the boxes on the article display pages a little darker. Does it suit the rest of the page (header/menu) or should I change it?
I like the site, it's very clean from a design point of few. Just one thing. When I went onto the site it wasn't immediately obvious to me what the site was about. I know it's easy once you start reading but I think that initial reaction is crucial maybe a logo motto would do the trick
