Hello, I reworked a local companies website and want to know what you think, just the basic template is done so none of the links on the home page are functional yet. You can view the website here: http://www.momentumautoworks.net/ Thanks!
Thanks Amyp, The roller is something I have not yet completed. All that's left is to add images w/ links to it, but I have not yet gotten to that point since I have not yet created content to link to.
I remember this site. It now looks a lot more modern and less cookie cutter. The links in the right images dont appear to work. That may be intentional of course.
solid start. the scroller thing will be cool if you get the right images there. the little blue handles look 3 dimensional/cool/great design. I think cutting off the bottom of the ride is a mistake, but thats just my opinion. Its a clean pro pic, need some tinted windows on that bad boy though. That continent map in header needs some color maybe? Looking forward to seeing the finished product. I have some auto stuff on my new site, maybe a link exchange or guest blog reciprocate? Im a long time pro blogger (500 posts)
Looks good. I think it would be better to center your navigation. I just like things symmetrical. Maybe I'm just anal LOL!
Great start. I would move those social network sites somewhere less prominent, though. If that's a wordpress install, look for the 'social bookmarks sidebar' free wordpress plugin. I'm not sure if that's the right name, but you can see it in action on freetilikum.com . It stays out of the way, but is anchored to the corner and stays put even when you scroll.
The roller bit seems to take very long to scroll to another image unless I click it. Looks good though.
Thanks for the reviews! =) I updated the spanned image in the header, it is now a dynamic slideshow that changes with different images everytime you view the site. Let me know what you think =)
nice addition. I want to see the finished blue handle scroller dealo. let us know when that is done please.
Thanks for the input. And I should have the scroller filled up by the end of the week. It will start to scroll faster once more items are placed in it.
the real challenge from a usability perspective is the huge amount of content on this homepage; i think it's a bit overwhelming for the user. - the rotating image banner is taking up a massive amount of real estate above the fold - def move the social media icons to another location, perhaps right hand nav - scroll bar with latest news looks old. maybe just limit to 4 latest headlines and a latest news archive somewhere else on the site nice start though mate...
Np, Braydo. Hey are you down with a guest blog reciprocate (or just one from me?) I have auto related stuff all over my new site (sig below) Im a 23 yr car guy and pro blogger. you could even feed me some keywords to slam into it and pick the topic. here are some samples http://www.badcreditmonitor.com#blog I sold my last blog (cha-cha ching) and he went from PR4 to 2 but some of the archives are pretty good. http://pokerroadwarrior.blogspot.com/ let me know
Your website is good, but still there are some empty spaces, probably because it's new ... but the weakness in my opinion, loading the page a bit longer .....
