    Hi there spdev ,

Your site is simple , but maybe too simple .
I am a great fan of simple but you need to have a limit .
First of all you should change your logo , if you wish it to remain only text , even still change the font atleast.
Your top navigation is also not looking good . Try this to css menu , you can even generate one online.
Also try using seperators to seperate the side menu and the content menu , perhaps you should use different colors for these two.

    Have a nice day.

    Hi Ace,

Thank you very much for your feedback, as for the site being SIMPLE our target audience is that of the birdwatching community which mostly tend to be the older generation that arent too familiar with the internet and so the site needed to be as simple as possible and easy to navigate.

Ref the logo that is a no-go for changing it as its been the company logo ever since the start of the company.

The top navigation again was designed that way to be as simple as possible and fit in with the overall layout, as with the side bar navigation too.

I do agree with seperating the home page content though.

What are you thoughts on the e-commerce side of the site i.e. when clicking into the product categories?

Does any one have any comments or suggestions on marketing e-commerce and OSCommerce based websites?

    Thanks
    Spdev

Well i see that your intended traffic is older generation but mind you , older people are also getting into webstuff and the trend is increasing day by day. But for now i think it is good . I like your system , but still i urge you to add background color on your divs instead of a whole background image , its hard to read the text written . Now conside if a youth like me isnt able to read it how would your targetted traffic will ??

ps. you are using html code in the signature , it dosnt work here try using this

RE: Sig; thanks i noticed that just after i posted :)

I find the text easy enough to read (me being a young un too only 20) and we have had comments before that it is easy enough to navigate and read although yes i believe something could be done to change the background or at least put in borders to seperate the content in the ecommerce away from the side nav bars.

What are your thoughts on promoting a oscommerce based system? And any tips/tools for adwords?

You have your text aligned left by first picture, and then centered by two pics on right. I would make them all left, and create more vertical space between the two pics on right.
