http://www.apnapisj.com/portfolio/ this is the artist I had spruce it up, he's great, and his work is not expensive at all for the quality. i know, i'm being a total advertisement, but he's good and he deserves some work!
latest update the logo is going to change, and the text was a quick job i asked him to work with this for the logo, so we'll see what he comes up with
That logo looks like it should be for a lawn care company. My suggestion is back to the drawing board.
how do you guys feel about the shades of green though? i looked at it again...and i dunno if i like it or not
Quite frankly, I don't like it very much. It's too fluorescent. I'd tone it down to something closer to earth tones - not pastels or anything but mute it more to olive and grass greens or leaf greens, not the blinding limes. Then again, I never like blaring glaring colors. It hurts my eyes. Sometimes it even hurts my teeth.
yeah it does feel too bright for me now... is the green in this http://img96.imageshack.us/my.php?image=testlogo0it.jpg better? it's hard....one of my monitors it looks ok on, but the other one it's ultrabright. green's a hard color to work with here's the latest one with the logo he came up with....i'm going to ask him to change the colors around a bit, and the logo. what about the rest of it?
No, that's worse - moving in the wrong direction. In the current version, I like the green tones in the center - not the ones around the outside - too limey. Look at the border green at the top of this Quick Reply box. Something like that (my opinion only of course) would eb a huge improvement.
I like the current one, but am thinking the text in a different color other than green might help seperate it a bit... my .02 at least...
maybe try this: http://www.ficml.org/jemimap/style/color/wheel.html and tell us the color codes you have in mind... ~DomainBELL
