Hello All, I have this Clickbank review site that I threw together real quick using xsite pro and paint shop pro 7 for the graphics. I have had this site for over a year but haven't done anything with it yet. I really didn't buy all these products and review them I just went by clickbank stats to determine how to list them and threw it together real quick with a lot of copying and pasting. How does this site seem to you affiliate marketers? Are there too many products? What can you tell me about it good or bad? Is this the type of site google is cracking down on? Would you build a site like this and if not, why not. Here it is: http://www.great-golf-guides.com Mike
i like it. The only thing: you may want to get rid of a few of your reviews. Just from being in business, if you give people too many options, they will get flustered and then buy nothing. "Less is More". I would stick with the top 3 or 4 products but find the one that converts the best and do a little extra section about it (maybe not even neccessary). Ever notice that all super affiliates only have 3 products on their review sites...... I did not read copy of page...too late and too tired. Good luck! Ryan
Thanks Ryan. I have been thinking a lot about how everyone else uses only 3 products to review. That's one of the reasons I stopped making these sites is I couldn't decide which would be better 3 or 12 approx. I guess I should make a 3 review site with these top 3 products and see which one is doing better. Mike
Doesn't look too bad. I too would however limit the amount of products that I recommend to no more than 3. This gives the surfer a pretty focused option.
Ya! I see that everyone else uses 3 products. I think I will make a 3 product golf site and test the 2 when I get a chance. Anyone else, 3 products or 12??? Mike
There are too many choices reviewed...3-4 is a good amount. Maybe what you can do is to categorize the products.... There are also sub-niches in the golf arena, so may you can try that route.
Why don't you just stick to 3-4 recommended choices on the main page, and put the remaining reviews in a secondary page such as "other recommendations"? That way you'll get best of both worlds! ;-D That's a good looking review site, by the way! Is this a template?
if i were you, do a 4 websites of 3 product reviews and split test each one. find the site & products that convert the best and have lowest returns and make one site (the site that converts the best) have the best 3 converting products on it. you have it made with this niche since there are so many products to choose from. most clickbank niches only have like 2 good products! Or you could do what someone else said and do a 2 page site under "Other Great Products" Good luck Man! Ryan
Hi there guys Thanks for answering this question, because I also wandered how many products are you suppose to have on a review site. What I was thinking of is maybe have more than one review site, but limit yourself to 3 to 4 products per site. What do you think of that idea?
From my look out its not targeted, when a visitor comes to your review page for golf fitness guide he must only get the reviews of top 3 golf fitness guide. If he had come for golf swing guide then must get review of only golf swing guides. Basically, you must have to make 3 review pages categorically. 1)Golf Swing Guides. 2)Golf Fitness Guides. 3)Golf Guides For Women. Comparing three good gravity products always work. If you review more than 5 products visitor basically lose his interest and eventually he will not buy. Mate this my personal opinion based on my own experience. Hope this help.. Robert
Thanks for the replys everyone. I think 3 products is the magic number. I will try 3 now and see how that goes. I will also try what I have seen others do. I see people review 3 products. They usually call the number one product "highly recommended" by putting a graphic or checkmark or something that says "highly recommended" or "we recommend this product" or "our #1 pick". Then I also see some put a link at the bottom of the review page that says we recommend product #1. They use the clickbank tracking on their links but use a different one for the link at the bottom that says "we recommend product #1". This tells them if the sale for the number one product came from the 1st review or the link at the bottom. Mike
