Review / Test My New Parallax Scrolling Portfolio Site

I am building a new portfolio site using parallax scrolling and I need some feedback on it.

First of all - if anything doesn't appear to be working correctly, please let me know. It would be 100 times more helpful if you could also tell me what operating system (Windows 7, OSX Mountain Lion, etc.), what internet browser and version you are using (Mozilla Firefox 19, Internet Explorer 9, etc.) and what screen resolution you are using (1280x1024, 1600x1200 etc.)

Also, does the site make sense? I wanted to incorporate some cool tricks, but I still need it to be a functional website. Is navigation the site easy enough to understand?

I appreciate any help and feedback you can give me!

    Thanks [IMG]

First of all I love parallax so as long as you used it right and in a nice and creative way you already had a biased opinion coming from me.

Anyways...the one thing I would modify is the element #splash.scrollable so that before it expands out of the POV is to have it slightly slide down the page as it expand at a slightly slower rate...the effect right now is a quick snap if you will which is ok if that is the effect you are trying to achieve but it would feel more welcoming if it eased into the unique transitions. If I had to suggest one more change it would also be to remove the bubbles on the left hand side...while they are nice and all, they do the same as the links up top and really detract from what really makes that page awesome which is the parallax'd elements and the creative path through the art work.

As to whether or not it is east to understand...it couldn't get simpler...scroll down ....and when it is late and you get too tired to read you can just scroll up and down and launch the lil monkey up into space ...cool beans :).

I have access to test pretty much all Device/OS/browser combos so when I get back to styling again later in the day or whatever I will take a look and post if I find anything displaying differently in other environments.

    Congrats...the page looks nice.

I have a portfolio too (h4xx0r.pro) that uses one-page scrolling jscript.
I like this idea and I like your site design too.

Good innovation you got over there.
I might ask you for some help over this thing some day.

Thanks for the feedback! I took out the left navigation "dots" - I thought it was redundant, and -0- confirmed it.

h4xx0r~ - I'd be more than happy to help you build a nice parallax site (or any other kind!) Just send me a PM some time.
