I'm planning to create a review landing page/template reviewing 4 products on CB. 2 will be guides on Overcoming a porn addiction (1 will launch on CB next week) 2 will be software/filter to detect or remove porn from the computer (one of which launched in 2010). The template will be created such that you can replace your own Clickbank ID or replace it with a cloak URL. And ready to upload to your webserver in an instant. Would you guys be interested in purchasing such a review landing page/template for an inexpensive price? Porn addiction help will be a huge niche -- in fact, I posted an article on ezinearticles on Quiting porn as New Year's Resolution about a week ago and within a few days later, the article become the most Published and in the top 3 for the most viewed in the Self-Improvement:Addiction category.
I think in this niche you can attract search engine traffic because of the content, as the search engines cannot know not to send people looking for porn sites to your pages if you mention porn sites in your content. But on the other hand people looking for porn sites will not convert as buyers of any clickbank ebooks related to stopping watching porn, so I don't see how buying such a template would work if clickbank publishers have the same reasonning as I do.
The templates are optimized for keywords relating to ones that relates to "addicted to porn", "overcome an addiction to porn", 'quit porn' and so on. They are not porn-related keywords like "hot babes...free xxx". Yes, I'm aware people who are searching for porn might stumble upon it -- but the targeted group are porn addicts looking for methods to overcome their addiction. I visit a lot of message forums related to addiction and there are tons of people asking about this. Even people using Adwords to compete for those keywords.
Just curious but did you get any sales from this article? Also, how is the product doing overall as far as conversions go?
Unfortunately, as I have not activated the product yet (as I'm forming an entity for another business for payment stuff), I won't know. So even if someone tried to order, it won't go through -- perhaps that was foolish on my part? I just created a test article and was surprise to get like nearly one hundred clicks through Ezinearticles just on New year's eve. Once I activate it and really promote the site, then I will know if I'm getting sales.
Ah I see. Yeah it might have been a good idea to allow them to order so you can make some money and see how well it's converting. Anyway, keep us posted. I can see this being a good niche with low competition.
To the original question - I don't think affiliates would be willing to BUY a template from you, to then use to promote your business - I would just give it away for free, affiliates love lots of materials - articles, banners, landing pages, but I don't think youll get many people buying them from you - many vendors give landing pages and materials away for free, and if they really work for you and convert then you will make your money back..
I used to sell review templates and as long as you make them look nice and convert well, they should sell.
