Your webpage is good.but load a theme or upload a picture in the background.It will look impressive that way.
Very boring site. Almost looks like an MFA. Besides the small thumbnails of athletes here and there, you couldn't really tell it was a sports site.
The copyright says 2006, so that would mean you have had plenty of time to see if does what you want. Do you get the traffic you want? Do you get the income you want? Yes it does look boring, but if it is making you money then at least you have something to build on.
1. Design and layout. yes, people are right this is not a right theme if you want to make your site success full, you can download a free and suitable theme from skinpress.com which is offering some really decent themes. The biggest drawback in your current theme is lack of "list of categories" , archive. you must need to work out on this. 2. Original content. Content is king. you can not expect from a site being successful without its unique content whereas I now can see "source from another .com" . this is weird. Handover the job to your content writer. 3. Images should be bigger and specific to the post. gettyimages.com will help you 4. Its not a really good idea to place google adsense just a newbie site. generally I found link buyers do not like them very much so keep it away for a while moreover, as this is a new site so you would not be earning good from google adsense. 5. try google webmaster tool to create xml sitemap and html site map of your website . its a good idea to get indexed pages soon in Google. 6. About us page. oh its not updated . You can see only default paragraph "this is an example of .. ". either remove this page or better write something about you . either write down your email ID or put a contact form.
The site is an aggregate so your correct its a MFA site. With regards of the theme, yeah its so plain and boring but I like the simplicity of the 2 column theme maybe I need to put on some banner on the sidebar for the category or put some animation, what you think? @yezdi, welcome to the site...I'm still working on the pages so expect that...
