Review: Social pet network

Hi,

i have been staring / struggling with my new site, it's (or should become) a social networking site for pets...! This is my first attempt to working with PEAR for PHP. Instead of blindly coding away, I wanted to get your reaction what direction to take with this. I know there are a lot of features the site can be extended with, this is the core and i want to get it right.

You should be able to register / login / register pets / upload images / comment on pets / vote on pets (other than your own).

If you want, please review it, any feedback about layout / bugs / idea, etc.. is much appreciated.

Hey Dan3 - The idea for the site is great, and although I don't have any program knowledge I can tell you that it needs some design work to make the site look more attractive to visitors.

Also, a niche as well... with icanhascheezburger generating a million uniques per day...

Nice idea. But it requires so much of exposure among petowners...

 

You need more design and content, but I really like the idea.
Have just registered, still waiting for the info to be sent to me?

Perhaps add the category horses ?

@workathomeshop: I am unable to reproduce the result, i can register, click activation in the email and login, not sure what went wrong...
If someone wants to try verifying registering and activating an account, it would help me a lot!

btw, when i visited the site today, I first got a 'bingo ad' as the logo, after throwing away my cookies I got the normal logo, does this mean my site is hacked? After investigating, none of the php or image files are changed and nothing strange in the database...
