Review Sites

    Hi,
I've seen a lot of affiliates run so called review sites on various products.
Which products sell well through review sites? How is the best way to format a review site? Should I create a specific domain for each product? Should I create a newsletter? Should I review only 1 product or several competing ones?
    Thanks

buying a domain and a hosting, it won't cost you much, $10 for domain, $50 for hosting, that is your investment.

But as soon as you get the right track, you will make a lot.

Review one product for a start but make sure you don't hype up the review, list both pros and cons because no product is perfect.

Then move on to two product comparison, and having your own hosting definitely helps...

I would suggest to start a blog for this, and post a few reviews for products in the same niche. Don't use this site for more than 4 products.

The niche should be something that you can write about. Otherwise you wont be able to find something to "convince" someone to buy

Your 'review' site shouldn't just contain reviews. Otherwise it will be quite obvious that you're just trying to make a buck. Give your visitors useful information related to the products. You can do this with a blog, and update your site frequently with new content, reviews, and articles.

You should definitely create a newsletter and mailing to go with your site to keep contact with people who sign up with it.

Reviews sites are great, but I wouldn't suggest using free blogs, because on your own hosting you have more possibilities and you can make your web site look like the web sites were reviewed by a professional, not just some 'bum' that uses blogs.

They do work and you should start with something you know, for example, if you're good with hosting, you can write about hosting companies, but web masters are usually smart(won't click on affiliate links), so start with something like 'dog training lessons' or whatever.

You never know how it goes, until you check yourself. (=

    Good luck!

nah, you should review them all under a single domain. I usually do a presell thing rather than a review. Here's an example of one of mine:

    www.learn-la-german.com

that actually sells better like that with bonuses that it did when i compared it to 3 other products before...

    Split testing is key!

Yup, whatever you do, get your own domain! I know I keep repeating this but using a free webhost or blogs will come across as "cheap" in the eyes of the visitors. :p

Host your own blog and develop a strong readership with good content. Then review the product saying that you just bought it and are using it.

    Hello yonatan28,
you can promote any product through a review site.
you can review one product or many related products on the same page.
( but do not review irrelevant products on the same page. )

If you don't want to go through the trouble of creating a full-blown website to review affiliate products, you could try making a Squidoo lense. I am currently testing this idea for my bum marketing strategy.

You should get the whole marketplace and display the most saleable products. It is not necessary to buy new domain for it. You can use your existing domain for it. PM me for more info.
