I'm new to clickbank and been reading around a lot. Has anyone had success in creating a review blog in a specific niche. Say....Dogs....Then picking out multiple products in the "dog" niche and promoting them through article marketing and directing readers from the articles to your review blog were you pretty much write a fake review and give a brief on how the product works.

Obviously you would do one product at a time but it seems like it would be a better way to get targeted traffic from the articles, to the review blog, to the sales page, I have read over and over about not trying to sell the readers something, give them a freebie, let em warm up to the idea of buying something, give a good review on the product they are looking to buy, then they should be in the state of mind to buy. rather then selling someone your product directly from your article.

Obviously someone who has clicked through this whole process and ends up at the sales page has to be pretty interested in the product and more likely to buy.

Am I actually thinking on the right track here or am I going crazy?

You're on the right track, and that's just one of many many paths to profit. Read around this CB section you'll see tons of people doing exactly this. Some have a 3 product review comparison, some endorse just one, some try total mish mash pages with adsense to boot and 10+ links leaking everywhere < Don't do that. Some offers are better going direct (say from ppc or from your top level domain.com) where presell isn't as necessary, some are better with your own opt-in and yes a freebie on the submit... Tons of ways to go about the process once you figure out what you're going to promote and test how it best converts.
