Okay DP gang, would you mind providing some feedback on this site for me please?

    1) It is a Mambo site and I know there are aspects to its look that look like every Mambo site. So please, few stones about that! ;) I didn't say no stones.

Now, I did customize the graphics and nav quite a bit. And here is kinda my big review issue.

    2) Stereotypically, which I'm trying to avoid, nurses are thought of as women. There are a lot of male nurses now, yes, even straight male nurses. Out of respect for that I wanted to pull together nurse-centric but gender blind colors and design elements.

But I'm just this guy, you know? Thoughts? Rotten fruit? Stones?

    Nursing Jobs

    Thanks!

I think the purple is a bit TOO bright. Also, the site is in need of a color scheme that compliment each other. If you like purple, maybe make the background a deep purple. If you are trying to make "nurses" seem more of a generic unisex environment, I would suggest doing away with the bright purple for good, and tending towards greens that both sexes enjoy.

Otherwise, it looks good. Good Luck with your site! Mambo is great!

purple isnt really a male orientated color.

and personaly, any website i see that has google adwords before the website header i immediatly click the back button.

and dont blame mambo, its not limited to its output, only the designer is. (not saying what you have so far is bad, just that it coudl be more. please no red rep...:( i speak my mind and get trashed for it too often as it is.)

    ajnin,

no bad rep - i asked for opinions - good, bad, better. ;)

i appreciate you both (NRLMedia too) taking a look.

purple is a traditional nurse color, believe it or not, at least in usa.

red is used with the red cross, of course. green is an option too.

pink would be too fem... i was dating a nurse when i started this project and she agreed with the color choices... but that does not mean i executed the concept well - the nursespot logo banner is by no means done - but i liked the way the nav bar turned out.

as far as the leaderboard is concerned, i tried to keep it from busting the site up - it would be very close to the banner if i stuck it lower. and it does not always have AdSense, i run several networks in rotation.

    hmmmm.

NRLMedia i will take your comment about the brightness to heart and re-think it, as well as considering changing the overall white background to a color, like dark purple.

thanks again for taking the time to look

First, the Home page seems a little too busy for my liking. There's a lot going on for the eye to follow. Perhaps some things need to be moved to other pages?
Second, I think you should stretch the Title right across and move the right panel called "Popular," further down the page.

Hmm why adsense is showing PSA ? try to increase density of "some" words. :D]
use color pallette to get good color combo..
even chitika's ads are totally out of the topic :(
Is the purple round cirlce necessary [upper central right corner]

I would stick to just AdSense on your site.
