Review re designed TalkBinary.com

I recently redesigned Talk Binary and am looking for suggestions.

Any constructive feedback is welcomed!

 

I think it's a nice design and I really like your tagline "programming in your language" which conveys your message quite nicely.

The only thing I can think of is that your About Me is good and maybe it would be a good idea to feature it nearer to the top than buried at the bottom. New visitors to the site will be curious what it's about and if you need previous programming expertise to make sense of it..etc.

Although the subject matter is a little over my head, I think it's a good , informative, well organized site. Probably one of the best I've ever seen.

 

Nice clean layout. Looks like all original content too.

This must be my night for the reviews, first a guitar site (I play guitar) and a programming site (I am a programmer).

I will check back on your site - I like the concept.

 

you need a download tutorial section in pdf, I think and at the top

Yes, nearly all of it is original content. I used to teach workshops to incoming computer science students and I try to answer all their questions with my website.
I'm also a beginning guitar player myself.

Thanks! I've been working on this site for about two years, and realized that the site layout would always bug me. So I went and found this theme and decided to purchase it for $40. Haven't regretted it!

 

love the cleanness of the design. one suggest would be an "about" box in the top of the right column to clarify your mission

I slightly want to give advice to you, you should set your Adsense longer dimension of which is not compatible with the available space.
my advice, you can add google content (picture format) or any other affiliate for the available space.

@_1_ Yeah, I've been thinking about making it LARGER but since I don't have too much traffic right now, I want to wait on it.

 

Nice layout. I like the concept. But I think, do not use a lot of pictures, because it will make your site is slow loading.

Thanks. I'll work on reducing that. I try on optimizing all my images before I upload them onto my site.

 

The website looking good but the space available on right side can be used for make more informations on various topics and more pics can be added.
