Review Portfolio Design

Seeing that there's no critique on my first work after resting for more than a year, I decided to try here. Does anyone else know where can I post and begask for some serious suggestions?

Portfolio Design

The CO (in COMMON logo) can be either be seen purely as an eye or a big cannon ball being fired in my perspective.

 

Nice try but if i will rate your design from 1 to 10 i give it 7

 

Looks pretty good but i don't like the images in the background that are suppose to merge with the header. I think i don't like that they are fluid since there is a border.

 

I don't expect the design to get 10 out of 10 but what's that one point that's missing to make it an eight?

 

I think it looks a bit too busy if you get what i mean. It would make a user have to search around for what they're trying to find.

 

Too much contrast all over the page, no particular focal points. You should have better control over it and use it only where it's needed as an emphasize.

Polished details though, so I'd give it 7.5

 

The borders on the screenshots are too bold (thick/black) for the design, and there's too much mix of colours.. for the green highlites, pick a single shade of green and stick to it, trim down the borders on the screenshots, and tie in the transition for the hand-drawn elements better, and it'd be a lot slicker

 

As long as you don't stop practicing and receive some critiques, you'll make a 10 from me and everyone else =)

The header looks pretty nice ... i personally don't really like that green color

 

You might use a simpler, slim font and instead of black, grey color fits better on the fonts. I looks good though

 

Its okay....I would personally clean it up a bit. It's to distracting when first looking at it.

well u can do some thing with your Colors whats what i think every one have some different in his mind u can as u like

I like the animation designs on top, but I don't like how the white border is running through them. To me the background and foreground seem disconnected. And the color scheme doesn't seem to pop.

 

Good effort after a year out, I would give it an 8, be careful not to put too much content on the one page tho

 

Looking at that at an allrounder perspective.
The green does have to go, since you have to think about
people with sight problems. Either darken your font or
change the gradient you have on those bars.

 

I'd axe the borders on the left and right of your main-sheet having it cut across the header graphix like that looks kind of off.

 

I am not feeling it that much, the green is too bright on my eyes.

 

Good design, Just the green color too eye catching as well.
