this site of mine has never been reviewed, forget the fact that it looks like a pixel site, it's not.. it's just a directory in disguise. What do you think about it? Most directories have adsense nowadays, would it be wrong for me to put adsense on there to make use of all the traffic it gets? I keep tweaking it to add value and exposure to the advertisers, but am worried that people come there and think 'uh-oh' pixel site...and their wallet closes. It's not that I need the money, just steady growth for the site really is what I am after, thoughts appreciated link here> Premium Directory (it's the one in my sig) G-E-M
If you don't want people to think it's a pixel site, you've picked the absolutely incorrect domain for it. I don't know what a quid is, but I know enough to know that it's money. You've got enough space to put one of the wide and very short AdSense banners, but, do you have the context for it? Put one up and see what you get, but I wouldn't go with one of the larger banners, unless you want to rethink your header.
actually I never tried, that's a good idea. I don't even remember what I put as the title for the homepage..or if i even bothered with keywords etc, off to check..
A site like that, I wouldn't bother with adsense. If your selling pixel ads you want the site to be clean. You've got good PR. I'd focus on selling pixels rather than the few dollars a month you'd earn with adsense.
I just uploaded a banner, I got PSA's I think I will take it off LMAO!! edit.. now i got webdesign stuff... that didn't take long, about 20 seconds.
$2 a month, times 12 months, times 5 years = $120. That's still a year of domain space with a good host. Besides, a couple of minutes to pop it up and test it, and you're set. As far as PSAs, you can always use an alternate image or background colour. Besides, I'd still go with the wide but very short banner size - that keeps things nice and clean.
