Fixed width layout too big for netbooks and a crappy little stripe on my workstation, inaccessible fixed metric (pixel) fonts across the entire layout, goofy/broken image rotating garbage sucking down most of the screen while providing nothing useful to visitors, responsive layout doesn't kick in soon enough and results in a completely broken/useless page (particularly with the scripttard animation in place), illegible color contrasts in both the footer and in the content areas under the stupid image rotator and on sub-pages... Oh hey, you've also got an even more massive flashtard banner (didn't see it at first as I've got plugins blocked) so you've got inaccessible content too! "design" wise it's a laundry list of how not to build a website.

Under the bonnet things are'nae much better. 60k of markup to deliver 2k of plaintext and maybe a dozen content images is no way to build a website. The typical HTML 5 bloat starting off with that stupid malfing idiotic nesting of the HTML tag in IE conditional comments Paul Irish came up with (and the world is now dumber for trying to actually use), Static CSS inlined in the markup (to the tune of 30k worth), endless pointless meta nothing actually usese, hordes of separate CSS files most likely from some idiotic framework with attributes that shouldn't even be on certain tags (like wasting time putting ID's on LINK -- serious whiskey tango foxtrot), static scripting in the markup, improper use of horizontal rules, clearfix nonsense like it's still 2001, nothing remotely resmbling semantic markup -- and that's before we talk the idiotic train wreck of bull turdpress saddled you with on things like menus... where basically we need to track down whoever thought this:

    <div id="megaMenu" class="megaMenuContainer megaMenu-nojs megaResponsive megaFullWidth megaFullWidthSubs megaMenuHorizontal megaMenuOnHover wpmega-withjs wpmega-noconflict megaCenterMenuItems megaCenterInner responsiveSelectContainer"><ul id="megaUber" class="megaMenu responsiveSelectFullMenu"><li id="menu-item-7722" class="menu-item menu-item-type-post_type menu-item-object-page mega-with-sub ss-nav-menu-item-0 ss-nav-menu-item-depth-0 ss-nav-menu-reg">
    Code (markup):
Was a good idea and give them a nice swift kick to the junk. (though I'm increasingly leaning towards dragging them around back of the woodshed to put them down with a shotgun blast to the head and bury them between Hoffa and Old Yeller).

You know, I really don't know whether to laugh or weep at all the design/development sites here in the review area where the people behind them don't know enough HTML/CSS/Accessibility to be designing or developing a blasted thing.

<broken record>Throw it out and start over, there's nothing even worth trying to salvage from that bloated slow inaccessible mess.</broken record>
