    Deathshadow,

I was wondering if I can get your services. I love the way the site runs with the CSS but I know I won't be able to figure it out in time for the launch of the site. Would you be interested in turning our PSDs into CSS layouts?

Yeah, that's the last step, the logo will be clickable. Thanks for the heads up though.

    deathshadow,
I'm trying to learn CSS by messing around with what you gave me, but I'm running into a problem. I made a template from what you coded, and look what happens...

    http://www.5thround.com/news/manny_nate_tuf_finale.php

Basically the table width is incorrect somewhere and if you notice there's too much "padding" on the left side?

The shadows are the same one from the deathshadow example, so there shouldn't be more shadows... I think anyways. Also, how do I pad the text? I'm still really new to this.

i cant really remember lol, but i think you make a div, set it to 5% or somthing. then put the texts into the div itself. (something like that) :p

I've never worked with a validator before, but it's saying that the phpBB links are incorrect... Click on them, I bet you it works and doesn't say file not found. How accurate is that ittybitty validator because it seems incorrect to me.

ittybitty.cn isn't a validation service. it's a url redirection service. those links simply shortcuts to validation services offered by the W3C www.w3.org (the world wide web consortium) http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://www.5thround.com/test.php and http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http://www.5thround.com/test.php

as for accuracy, it's spot on.

I'm not seeing anything actually 'wrong' with padding on my end, so I'm not 100% sure what you mean.

Oh, and for validation, at least for the html, I suggest testing your page in opera, and when you want to validate just hit CTRL-ALT-V

Check out the bottom right corner on the page:
    http://www.5thround.com/news/testing.php

It looks like the shadows are being pushed over by a few pixels which is causing the it to look funny.

I've still been messing around with it, and still can't get the shadows to line up properly all the way around the shadowwrap.

Now at least I know what's causing the problem... When I use my PHP script to post news, the page that it makes somehow creates a table with padding which causes things to get out of alignment. The reason I know this is because when I remove ALL tables, there's no problems with the alignment. Now I just have to figure out how to get my PHP script to do things on its own.

deathshadow-- you've really reamed on FireFox and I'm glad you did. I keep getting told by everyone that FF is good for checking code, yet when I first when to w3schools, there were plenty of things that I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to be changing. They were all FF problems. I got stuck right on my first webpage with a repeat-x that was always sitting at the top of the page no matter where I told it to sit. There are still things I'm having problems with. My only other browser is a fake IE6 (via IEs4Linux), which doesn't have any fonts on it and pukes wherever there's Flash.

Go to www.toyota.com with FF and can you see anything in the middle of the page? I can't. There's supposed to be a car there.

5thRound, do you want any screenshots of your site posted here as it seems to me with FF? On your test page the menubar sticks out to the right ("Contact") for example. I can also see some of the underlying text that's supposed to be covered up by a .gif of text.
