Well, my partners and I have finally come close enough to "finished" as far as the design goes to request a review from you guys... This is our new site we put together to boost our sales in all of our services, all on one site. We tried going with an old school style because you see so many people trying to fit into the new flashy style, we wanted to stand out with a more "classic and established" look. So, let us know what you think... http://www.arorahost.com/ Thanks, McCoy
looks good. Not heavy. I would add more shades to the buttons and boxes.Site Needs little better look, small things. Overall is good. Does anybody can review my Blog: onlineauctiontutorials.com
Looks nice and colourful main image could be better? Good prices for "unlimited" services, where are the servers based?
Thanks everyone for your comments. We were trying for the classic lok, trying to avoid the web 2.0 look, because every new or "small" hosting company tries to have the web 2.0 and we wanted to stand out. Thanks again for the comments, much appreciated and looking forward to hearing more. @Lee Stevens: If we say unlimited, we mean unlimited... we're not in business to scam people. Our servers are located in a Salt Lake City data center.
I do agree with some posters above, you will win in a long run if you increase the width to 960px (which is still pretty standard). Your service will look more solid if you have the right width.
It looks like its been around awhile, not sure about the width though, could be wider. However, a good one stop shop for anyone who comes across your website.
Too narrow, the colours are a bit old...I think you should go for a more minimalistic design with less opaque elements, also - the banners drive too much attention from the menus and other available information.
