    I think the header needs a little work, I would consider design yourself a logo. Also try out some other fonts for the site title.

    Theme is not that much good, change it
    Dark theme is not suitable for ur niche.

    From a professional point of view your need a new theme/skin and also a brandable logo which does not look like an image you copied off of google images.

    Also, don't use SMF which is a free forum software, use vB or IPB, your target audience are regular computer users and so they will be able to tell the difference between free software and paid software!

    I happen to agree with the rest. The theme that you are using creates that kind of gloomy feeling which is not what is intended in the first place. Go for something more colorful and attractive

    i cannot agree your views about free forum scripts.
    Is it affordable to pay huge money for scripts like vb?
    There are many great forums using smf,phpbb,mybb.

    $180 for vB is not huge money, and if it is then you really shouldn't be setting up a forum is you can't afford it!

    1st off its the logo with the text that seems to be kinda raw whit those pixel edges.
    2nd off its the image in the logo doesn't seem to want to mix...
    3rd off its the Board name color, that gray makes it hard to read.
    4th off its the hover over the menu/push, the text goes to down
