If you have a few minutes, could you please review (or join) my free "green-themed" blog community: YouSaveThePlanet.com

Please help me out here -- I am about to start promoting my website with hundreds of dollars of advertising, but I am sure that the landing page could be much better. I especially need some page design tips, but I'll warmly welcome corrections or advice of any kind.

I think that I have a couple good ideas here and some other ideas that need to be further developed before I work them into the site.

I love the content and the thought behind the website but it does not look complete. There is something missing - professionalism maybe. The template is a bit underdressed for the content.

It's been a little while, but I've made a few tweaks to the design. A lot of back-end enhancements have been made. The whole site is built upon the Drupal framework and it is a very strong framework that is very easy to extend upon by open source and custom written modules.

The big change is the revenue sharing module that I wrote from scratch.... the rate of revenue sharing is 90% for your pages. This means that if an ad appears on your page, you get all of the revenue generated by 90% for pages that you've written. You'd have to have an account and set up a valid PayPal account to get payments (for now, PayPal is the only method).

The author's profile info and badges are displayed near content that they write. Displaying certain profile information such as Field of Study or Degree helps the reader to know who wrote what you're reading. Right now, there are two pledges "pledge to lower your impact" and the "vegetarian promise pledge" that would add a badge to your profile when you sign them (add a comment to the pledge). It's a fun way to show your participation and it is a good way to raise awareness.

The user home page has some custom code behind it, but you have to be signed in to view your home page.

THANKS for the support - there seems to be a lot of new passion on the subject of saving the planet. I know that this isn't the place to ask for any bloggers or writing recruits, but where would I post something like "looking for environmental bloggers to write articles get 90% revenue sharing on the ads" that?
