    Hello everyone,

My site (http://www.directoryfrog.com) is about a month old now. In the past few weeks I have spent a lot of time working on it to get it where it is. I would like to hear from anyone about what you think of it. I welcome all comments both good and bad. Basically I need to know what you think of the layout, colors etc.

I have looked at a lot of directories and I would like for this one to 'stand out' and be a little different. So let me know what you think and dont hold back :)

    David

    No problem ;)

Here's my thoughts on your directory (I'm not a big directory fan in general, so bear with me):

Overall, I really like your design. It's actually something new and doesn't look like a cookie-cutter template.

However, on the second set of pages, such as http://www.directoryfrog.com/pets-animals/farm-animals/ , I think you should make the text a little big. The ads seem a little overwhelming when contrasted with the small text.

You also might want to fix your ads. On this page, http://www.directoryfrog.com/history/ancient/ , the ad unit is overlapping a box or border.

Make a few tweaks and you should be good. Kudos for coming up with an original directory design ;)

Which ad unit is overlapping? Do you mean that it is overlapping on that particular page and not the others?

Thanks for your reply I really appreciate it and I see what you mean about that text size - I will attend to that.

No, it's overlapping on all the pages, I just happened to notice it on that one.

Ok I moved that ad unit down a bit and increased the size of the description text.

Anyone else have a comment or suggestion?

I was thinking of a lighter background color.

I have looked at tons of directories in the past few weeks (I honestly never realized that there were so many!) I am attempting to make this one look unique. Im not finished yet. I still plan on doing some re-arranging and have been experimenting with the colors and the layout.

I appreciate everyone who has looked at the site and taken the time to post a comment here. It means a lot to me to get other opinions.
