Hello, I would like some honest feedback on my new website, I designed it using dreamweaver, the website is www.comicracy.com I am more interested in what you think of the design then the overall concept but any comments are welcome. Thanks!
Hi, Visited your website, and here are my ideas: *You have done it well and it is different but still, you can bring the "The Comics" area on top as that is where the visitor wants to see. *I don't think black is a well suited color for a comic site. You can try some other bright colors. *The "contest details" section is clear and focusing. You can change the font to something comic. *You can completely change the right panel as it is not very catchy. It should be related to the body design, but here it is totally off. *Do not keep changing the font style everywhere. Try to change it in places where you need some highlights. All The Best !!!!
Personally, I think that white stuff in the content background is distracting. Initially I wondered why the menu was so dark, but I like the rollovers. In IE 6, your right sidebar is below the content. I wouldn't put the google search box above your content. It makes people scroll down to see what's on the page. Maybe use a vertical adsense and put it at the top of the right sidebar.
I like the front page pretty well but my biggest recommendations are to: Ensure that the website lines up properly on all browsers. I use IE (as does a good portion of web users) and saw that things were not lining up properly. I'm not sure if thisi s just me or not. I also noticed you have too many different colors. Your ads are different color from your banner, and what appears to be your side menu (see problem above) doesn't really match the rest of it either. I would highly recommend that you make your Google ads blend in with your site. It will likely increase your click rate. Those are just a couple of issues that I think would benefit greatly.
