The concept of the site is nice but that landing page is horrible. When you first land on that page it has no appeal and you have no clue what its about. If someone found it via a search for equine employment -- they would probably bounce. You really have to focus to realize what the site is about. The logo doesn't help, again you have to focus and dial in before realizing it is a horse. And All that white in the header hurts my eyes. Here's my fix quick fix, in all that white space in the header put some kinda banner, a nice image of a horse with a trainer and Some kind of emotional tag line liek... "Equine Professional? Find Employer. Find Employee." Next change out your logo for a real image on all of those featured jobs on the home page That should help you out in the short run for cheap.
You would probably have to add html to the header.php file. You could always go post a contest in the buy/sell>contest section for a $20 banner and get something nice and professional then go to the buy/sell>programming section and get someone to add it for $10 maybe less.
The site looks good, except for the fact that repeating the logo 9 times in Featured Jobs (and will you repeat it for any new featured job?) is rather annoying
The site looks really fresh and appealing, I personally like them better when they are centered. Liked background & very easy to read and figure out what is going on. I like your beautiful color combination. I'm telling honestly, I have no complain for your design.
I must appreciate for your efforts but you have work more on this site. I think you should choose better color combinations.
I love your site's theme, it is refreshing and it looks really professional. One thing that I think should be fixed is the logo laced in the menu, it got me dizzy looking at it. The header could also use some upgrade, it feels too small for the site. Overall, it looks great.
