Hi everyone. Doodad Swap is a site I built in my spare time a little over a year ago. It's the first of its scale I'd ever done (front end, back end, etc...). Lot of learning happened for sure. I was considering the "next step" since it's been on autopilot for several months now and people still use it. I'd love some ideas and critique. Thanks for your time, it's much appreciated. http://www.doodadswap.com Keith
Hello kjohnson94, I recommend you add some color to your site to liven it up. The gray on gray is drab. Also, if you say you are the "The FIRST online community where you can trade anything for free". Do you have anything on the site to back this up like what year you were established? If not, this is called an UNSUBSTANTIATED CLAIM. If you make big claims and don't back them up, you will just scare people away. Best of luck! Kindly, Shelby
The Idea of your website is nice. I like the content of you site. But I think the layout need to be improved. The cartoon in the Header is looking nice.
Thanks for checking it out everyone. I adjusted the unsubstantiated claim at the top. I was going for a relaxed chilled out look but I guess I took it too far and went drab. haha... gotta love over-analyzing your own stuff. Thanks for the tips... I'll see what I can do.
It's a great idea, I wish I'd thought of that. Try setting up Amazon affiliates for the swaps. You will really get some cash from that if you have folk looking for a new version of a swap.
