Review of a Social Forum

I'm looking for ways to improve my site and thus potentially gain more of a solid userbase.

I shall be adding in some custom content pages soon, so don't worry about saying 'custom content'

Anyway.
Here's the site, please review it and rate it. Tell me what I can improve, change, take away, etc.

PS: To everyone who says "REMOVE THE ADS"... the large banner ad actually goes away after registration. so users won't have that annoy them.

 

Nice. I would bring it in a bit. it's too wide.

Maybe half way between then and now. Or you could fill out the logo a bit just seem like a lot of space. But it is nice.

What else could be done to improve the site and potentially help it get more activity?
It's only been up for a month, mind you.

 

I like it. I love the color scheme.

 

Awesome forum with nice theme & design...
