Review New Unique Music Playlist Website - SongSeek.net

Hey guys, can you please review this music site.
You can search for music and generate playlists to stick on your site, the site was custom coded from scratch.

Its got quite allot of pretty nifty features such as user profiles, playlist management, the player itself has been edited to work with songseek only too.
I would love any feedback and suggestions you have.

We're currently working on a new feature, which will allow you to change the style and colors of the playlist which you can embed on your site. Should be completed by the end of the day.

Thanks for the feedback Heres some screen shots of the features members get when they sign up.

This is the playlist view, from here you can manage your playlist and rearrange the tracks using ajax. You can also generate the html code for the playlist to embed it on your myspace,site, etc. and set options.


Adding or removing a song to your playlist is easy and can be done with one click..

You can edit your profile for other people to see.


You can even upload a profile photo.

 

hi Asdalol the site is great, in the design I think its too much orange and in my opinion if you put some pictures some where in the middle of the page it would not be bad.
It’s easy to find music and you have a lot of genres to choose from.

We have some more features coming up soon, such as:
- Guest Playlists
- Have the ability to create multiple playlists
- Featured users/playlists on homepage
- Improve member system - friends, private messaging, profile comments, etc.
- Add an I'm Feeling Lucky button to the homepage, this will automatically play the first result.

We have added a new content delivery server, this means that pretty much all results will now work with the exception of a few rare ones. If results don't work for any reason, you will instead be played a message informing you off the file being deleted.

Here are some updates:

• Users can now purchase songs they like through iTunes.
• Individual songs can be embedded onto web pages using a mini flash player (read more).
• The genre of the song is now also played, this can be also searched.

 

I assume you have you iTunes affiliate link embedded with the search ?

SongSeek isn't a commercial website, we do not display ads or make money of it; so there is no affiliate link in the search. This means that we don't have to purchase a commercial license for some of the 3rd party applications we use on the site.

Also, yes it's a custom script. I've been working on it with a friend for around a year now. It's still in beta and has a few bugs to be fixed.
