Hey, I've just finished making a new layout for my facts site, so I thought I'd come to you guys to get some feedback. Here's my site I'd like your thoughts on the layout/color theme, adsense placement or anything you feel you need to say. Thanks!
I like the header graphic, the background is also good..I was wondering if you considered a black background..also maybe you can change the Google ad text on the right panel to a more readable text color..overall I like the site
Also one other thought..Could you change the favicon image so it doesn't show the standard blogger favicon..Cheers..
Thanks for the feedback, I have changed the favicon and the color of the adsense on the right, as for the background color though, I had thought of changeing it to black, however I thought this would make the site seem too dark as susan said... I'll have a play around and see what I can come up with. Any other feedback would be great, thanks!
My thoughts about this site is: 1. The overall design makes the website look a bit out-dated, the header could be put together by a 9 year old (no offense). 2. The site is kinda messy, a bit more structure would be good. 3. It loads kinda slow with all the bars and social marketing plugins etc. 4. Your favicon does only show on the front page, not on single posts, I think you have misplaced it in the code. Tip: Get a TLD domain, a .blogspot sub-domain just screams out that you do not take your site seriously enough to even spend $8 on it. Hope it helps, good luck. =)
Hey Wulkanen, thanks for your advice, I've sorted the favicon properly now. Just a few questions though... is there any way how I can include all (or most) of the social marketing plugins but have my site load faster, or which ones would you suggest I remove? Also, about getting a domain... I have thought about this, however I have a large amount of backlinks to funky-facts.blogspot.com from different sites/forums, if I changed the domain name, would I have to change all the links to TheNewName.com, also would my pagerank go back to 0? Sorry if they seem like noobish questions, thanks for your help.
