Hello. Originally I am programmer but I found my second talent not that long ago. Please note that images a very small. This is the list of item (from left to right): I was always fan of TMNT.Raphael's sai; Just a small sword icon; 3 axes: normal axe, double axe and fire axe; 3 katanas: normal katana, double katana and ice katana; A reaper; Michaelangelo's nunchaku (but the different colour and in my personal opinion my best drawn item); 2 potion: small potion and huge potion (nicer one); 2 finished items: Boots and axe:
Hey those are really neat! They could be used as icons for a video game. Good job! The only suggestion that I might have is to add a bit more shading to the objects. They look pretty good as is too.
You're starting off well but your technique and style have a long way to develop. IMO you should focus your creativity in other places because like the poster above me mentions, pixel art is dying and old. But in any case do what you love..
You can actually use them as an icon to anything Since you are a programmer you can make them as an icon to your programming work especially when you are using Visual Basic 6.0
It's great. Remember me off the SuperNes games icons style. Maybe could you polish them a bit so as they can be used in webdesigns.
They're pretty good. They kinda remind me of the inventory sprites in the original version of RuneScape.
u have done a great job, but as others have said it would only suit for icons... but wat i personally feel is that these wont be nice for games which have high graphics.. if u have plans to add them in such games then please design a better than these
Hey I'm a programmer as well and I like your stuff. For some reason I like older game style than the newer. You're items are looking good. Older game developers spent more time with the gameplay than the graphics since they we're limited. Today it's the opposite. Most newer games are focused so much on graphic and little on gameplay.
Pixel art is a valuable talent. This type of style works well for creating icons (which is a big business in itself), so keep going with it! Programmers with graphic ability are hard to find.
