This website is going to be a skateboard, snowboard, and surf community... and I plan on spending alot of time and money on this site. Tell me what you think of the site so far. This is what I have for the homepage. Still feels pretty plain to me... needs more added.

Nice job. For me search input and button is too big. Also consider puting RSS feed icon at the bottom of the page, it's not so important to put it at the top.

Yeah I really am not too sure about the header right now aka why most of it is blank. I definately still think this design has a few days left before i even think about coding it. But I like the concept so far. It will be running through vbulletin so it should turn out pretty sweet.

Edit: Oh and about the search thing... I was just thinking how people NEVEr use the search feature on the forums cause they are too lazy to click it. I figured if it was super big and obvious it would help eliminate this haha.

I think it looks pretty nice and the logo/header will make a big impact on the design. I personally don't like the beveled edges. Those are outdated for good reason. One, i don't like the way they look, two, they add a tiny bit more size to images...(this is notable particularly for performance of community sites)

If the edges were completely squared i think you'd find it might actually look pretty sleek, on top of that, if that is done, absolutely no images will need to be loaded in the browser for those corners, which will free up some performance for a cool header or advertisements, etc.

You can try a more white background to make the images stand out. Its a website about skateboarding for sure so you will have a shitload of videos on there. Well, change it up a lil bit or a kinda chilled blue color on the website.
Get rid of the comment sections of a blog and instead start a forum with your blog posts being the forum topic for each of your thread.
Also create a plugin that lets people comment before logging in, that way people are more inclined to comment on a topic before logging in.
    Cheers Nick.

Ill see how it looks squared off. And Yeah I do hate adding all those little round corners when I code it haha. Which is an even bigger pain when using vbulletin.

I added a few gloss effects to the buttons and updated the pic just now. Looks a little better.

As for the main page those topics shown are actually going to be threads from the "News" forum of the website. And as for the logins I am still working on it some.

I am in the process of integrating facebook with the website so that when people are active on the community it posts everything on their facebook feeds. Its a sleed way of gaining new members.

As for letting them post without logging in, that wont be happening... because ive had too many problems with spammers in the past.

The designs are good. Add home, contact us menus, just above photo gallery menu; I think it will be better. Try to make the search option little bit small.

A Pretty attractive design and impressive work. But still the search option is a bit to large.
    can be reduced.

Maybe I can reduce the search size and pt it beside the rss logo, and then squeeze in a banner advertisement in the empty space.

I really could use a nice logo to top it all off, however logos have always been my weakness.
