    Hi

I have added WidgetBucks over a week ago, due to the amount of hype it has generated. I have not received a single click on those ads till now.

    Link - www.arcadehouse.org

Please suggest any change , to help me get more clicks.

    Thanks
    Ishan

They are too obtrusive. Make them blend in and not so big. Also try adding a banner or leader board ad above above your games.

Replace your ads under games section and use compatible colors with your site.

I think using black background color (as it is on header) and 728x90 px. version will be more effective at this position

Replace the 468x60 banner with either a 728x90 or the custom 660 x 330 banner.

On the flash game pages, add two skyscraper banners. Have one to the left of the game and one to the right.

Yes I agree. Your problem in no way is your placement. I have the 468x60 banner at the very top of every page on my arcade and have a CTR less than 0.2%. Consider changing it to a 728x90. I get around 0.8% CTR with those on my other arcades. Also If you can add a 120x600 or 160x600 banner. I have over 1.2% CTR with those.

Also a tip to get more per click. The more expensive the products in the category you are using the higher your CPC will be. I recommend the Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii categories.

I used your advice & added a 468x60 banner , which did not blend with the website colours, but I got a 3.64% CTR . I have now changed the color to black
following pluswebdev's advice, let's see what the CTR is now.

I will try adding skyscrapers next to the games. I am using MerchSense.

    @bscdesign.com,
How much do you get per click for the Xbox360 & Nintendo Wii categories ?

    Thanks
    Ishan

In those categories I get 11c per click. Doesn't seem like much compared to some others but with the older Xbox and Playstation 2 games categories I got less than 11c.

That is a great CTR for a 468x60 banner on an arcade. I will have to try the Game Consoles category. I would like to know what you find works better. Blending the ads or making them stand out a lot.

Well, you should go in for Merchsense then , as I get $0.28 per click.
I will post my stats here tomorrow, & we will see what works better :)

Merchsense is the option giving when creating a new widget, instead of targeting a category. It will crawl the page and displays relevant products.

I will test that on my arcade and see how id does. I have a feeling it won't do very well as arcades don't have much text.

Better idea make them blend in, with the site and make the ads show Nintendo DS games.

Does that category preform the best for you? And what is your average CPC and CTR with it? I wouln't be surprised if it had a better conversion rate because they are so cheap.

Why is it that whenever something bad happens to someone they think it is a scam?
