Hey guys, It's been a while since I came here. Anyways, yesterday I just sort of finished my website http://hwhelper.ca This is the first time I even used PHP and you can see the entire website is basically just a script. Just want your opinions on it: Content, Navigation, Usefulness, Design etc. Thank you.
I like it. I think the header italics could be a little bit better a little bland to me. The four squares looks great just the header writing looks bland with it.
Hey guys, Thanks for the replies and I'm glad you guys think it's a good idea. What do you guys think is the best way to advertise such a website? Paid advertising, SEO, post on forums etc. I'm not too sure how to go about this. I know this isn't the place to ask but didn't want to start a new thread.
Like others have already mentioned you need to add more relevant content and I would also add some pictures that are also content relevant. Don't forget to give each page a relevant and unique meta title tag for example; Mathematics Homework Help for http://hwhelper.ca/archive/math1.php
Hey, Many comments have told me to add more content. Is my website really that unclear to its purpose? It's like Yahoo Answers. People add content, not me. More viewers I have, more the questions that are asked. How can I add more content? Thank you.
LOL. Do you honestly believe you've received reviews out of the above posts? Most members are here to count up their posts numbers. Many of them need to count up posts to meet requirement to post in some sections of DP. However, - you need content or more question/answer; think you as a user why would you come back again to this website? - Website should say what is it about, user not aware what is the website about. That's why you see a lot of posts "content" required. - I personally feel the black is not suitable for the kind of website you've made. - Logo needs to be better. I would have left some more feedback but website seems to be down now.
Would you be able to answer some of the questions? This would add more content and give your current users a reason to come back and ask another question. The site advertises to 'Ask a Question'. What about 'Answering a Question'?
