review my website

I'm a huge paranormal enthusiast and have created a website, some time ago, to post related material I find on the internet. It's existed for a few years but only gets around 400 unique visitors a month... I feel this number should be higher. I'm just looking for a review about my website and suggestions on what I can do to improve it and hopefully in turn improve traffic.

I went thru this website !!! I know there any people interested in this concept , but still if the visitors is less !!
so reason could be that content is less !!!

Bring some shocking info too !!! I could find only few articles and the content with each article also less !! you can also see that no visitors has commented on any topics !!! you need to make the content more interesting to make people visit and leave comment

Well the content is suppose to speak for itself. Photos, videos, and audio are the content really. What else do you recommend I do?

I don't really do any of that... I really should have known that was my next step too. Thanks... some times you just have to have the obvious pointed out to you.

I was adding entries to DIGG but I've stopped that as no one seemed to be digging them. Is there anything I can do to increase this?

Could the size of the images. I like to include original images without much editing. I guess I could try lowering the quality a bit... cutting 5% in my experience can save a lot of space and load time.

Your theme could use some header images that reflect paranormal activity

the design is good the ads placement is good but there is a big white space beside the sidebar in the right side of the template

I love this kind of site. Nice content, easy photoshop on "the man in the shrubbery" but its stil good..

I used to scare my friends with a app in my iphone. Maybe I should take few photos and send it to you.

Do something that is 'Paranormal' to the website! Just thinking aloud..

Listen about the images, yes they are heavy and the problem is that they are .png files. They should be Jpeg files. The shrubbery man image (of the church like structure) is 500 KB! Convert it to a jpg and see it would not be more than 40Kb! This is the first thing you should do.

As for some ideas, I have posted a few ideas to market the site well on our Blog. You can read up on our blog. Since I can post a link.. just search for 'free advertising ideas by Magnon' and you will get some ideas here.

That's actually what I was going for. Every other related site on the net has some cheesy background music with a black dark layout. I wanted to seem more legit.
